you can make an exchange for something you really like.”
VIA MONTENAPOLEONEJaeger-LeCoultre soon in Via Montenapoleone 1. “Certain legends - according The Watch Quote - draw their strength from their age. Frozen in the past, immobilised forever, they speak only of the past. But sometimes, the magic is so great that a strange phenomenon takes place: the legend lives, breathes, mutates, becomes more beautiful, all the while retaining its aura”. Jaeger-LeCoultre, one of these legends, is going to open soon its flagship in Via Montenapoleone 1.
About Jaeger-LeCoultre. Jaeger-LeCoultre is a high-end luxury watch and clock manufacturer based in Le Sentier, Vaud, Switzerland, and is clearly one of the most important manufactures in Swiss watchmaking, responsible for scientific and manufacturing breakthroughs that revolutionized the industry as well as designing and manufacturing movements for the most prestigious houses in Switzerland.
Even before the company began manufacturing watches under their own name in 1929, the horological triumphs of Antoine LeCoultre and the LeCoultre & Co. atelier were many and varied. Having invented the Millionometer (the first measuring instrument capable of a resolution of 1/1000th of a millimeter) in 1844 and a keyless winding system in 1847 and creating the world’s thinnest pocket watch movement in 1903 (at only 1.38 mm thick), the company’s legacy was already well established when the holding company of Manufacture Jaeger-LeCoultre was established in 1925 in conjunction with Edmond Jaeger.
The following year saw the release of the revolutionary Duoplan two stage movement and in 1929 the company announced the smallest watch movement ever: the calibre 101 (it remains the world's smallest mechanical movement to this day).
Since 1996, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been a fully owned subsidiary of the Swiss luxury group Richemont.

Following the opening of the Armani Hotel Dubai - located in Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building - Giorgio Armani opened his second eponymous hotel in Milan in the upper floors of the Griffini-designed, Thirties building that already hosts his Via Manzoni flagship store, in a subdued atmosphere, as fears surrounding Italy's debt levels intensified. The 95-room Armani Hotel Milano aims to continue Armani's commitment to create a atmosphere conducive to "work, relaxation and pleasure".

VIA DELLA SPIGA
While waiting for Longchamp Paris to come at Via della Spiga 6, occupying the big space vacated by Bulgari, Peuterey opened its first own-branded shop in Milan, Via della Spiga 6 too, in the heart of fashion district, ideal for a breakthrough in the brand’s evolution and a starting point for a strategy of international retail expansion and development. “We are enthusiastic to be able to open our first flagship store,” says Francesca Lusini, President of G&P Net, whose top brands include Peuterey and Aiguille Noire. “With this Milan opening we are giving life to a significant retail strategy that, starting with Italy, aims for the development of new monobrand stores in the most important cities on the international shopping map. It is a great added value to be able to present our collections to clients arriving in Milan from all over the world inside a dedicated and special space that highlights the personality of the brands, enriched continuously with synergies in evolution.”
GALLERIA VITTORIO EMANUELE II°
CAMPARI IS BACK TO GALLERIA. JANUARY 1st, 2012. SAVE THE DATE.
It was the favorite place of Giuseppe Verdi and Arturo Toscanini, who used to stop there after performance at la Scala. Dudovich and Carrà often stayed until the wee hours, and King Umberto the First loved to go there because it served the best coffee in Milan. Boccioni eden portrayed in the famous painting "The Brawl in the Galleria". Following the successful VERSACE Collection for H&M, Versace is joining all the other top luxury brands and launching a high-end line of clothing for children called "Young Versace". "This is a high-end, glamorous and colorful collection in line with the brand's essence, with a touch of rock 'n' roll" says Giacomo Ferraris, chief executive officer of Versace SpA. The collection is geared toward newborns to young children up to the age of 12. A "Young Versace" pop-up store will be opened soonest at Via Borgospesso 15/a.
This elegant bar was opened in 1867 by Gaspare Campari, the founder of Campari company, and it became one of the most vibrant centres of the Italian cultural, political and industrial exchange. The café, is an important symbol for Milan because its past is practically a synthesis of the history of the city. The first Milanese café to belong to the Society of Italian Historical Establishments, for more than a century it was witnessed the repeated succession of the prestigious Campari and Zucca trademarks that have alternately graced its walls. In January 2012 it became "Campari in Galleria" once again.Beloved by many people of distinction in the past, the cafè is still a fascinating place today because its guests find themselves in a setting that exudes culture and history.Prada beats Apple and Gucci to Galleria Emanuele. Apple will not be opening its first store in Milan after all, or at least not in the central location it was hoping for close to the Duomo. Prada will take over the space currently occupied by McDonalds and will engage in major renovation and restoration works. The future Prada flagship store at Galleria will cover 5.000 sqm on 8 floors and will feature besides the store, a cafe and a contemporary art gallery.
The strategic location was also targetted by Apple for a Milan flagship, however, Prada made a considerably higher bid. Prada financial offer provided a 150% increase rate on the annual. Prada has been operating a store within the Vittorio Emanuelle Galleria since 1913.
