A Kiton creation begins with the most refined fabrics from all parts of the world, the majority of which are spun exclusively for the brand.
The clothes are created, layer after layer, from the very first cut to the final fold. The fabric is modelled and cut to perfection, as if it were a sculpture. The invisible points are hand-sewn, one after another, so that the clothes conform to the lines of the human body. The large part of this meticulous work is invisible, such as appliqués, for example, and can only be appreciated in time, since a quality-crafted article of clothing maintains its shape over the years. The final objective is perfection and for this reason, each item is made entirely by hand, with approximately 25 hours of labour for each article and at least 45 Kiton-trained tailors who contribute to its creation.

It may be several weeks before a Kiton creation is ready, but once it is, it will last a lifetime. The discreet, yet impeccable tailoring of an article of Kiton clothing expresses a certain and sophisticated virility. Even the shirts and the silk ties, which are made using the “seven-fold” technique, are hand crafted, using these same methods and this same infinite passion.

Ciro Paone has rigorously preserved the maison’s exclusive philosophy and traditions, creating a school for tailors inside the company’s factory in Naples. Each Kiton tailor attends a two-year course and is carefully educated about the brand’s principles and the specialised techniques for which the company stands out. The Kiton staff, which is made up of more than 450 artisan tailors, is trained according to traditional methods of tailoring and handmade workmanship.

Mr Kiton, aka Ciro Paone, has managed to transform his own tailor-made label into a brand that satisfies the lifestyles with different needs and includes athletic wear, shoes, women’s fashion collections and perfumes.

Today, Kiton is a leading international brand and its boutiques can be found in some of the most prestigious locations throughout the world, including New York, London, Milan, Paris, Tokyo, Cologne, Hamburg, Moscow, Dusseldorf, Munich, Osaka, Cheng Du and Beijing.
