Mirella Denti Jewellery, “so chic, so gorgeous”.  There, in Mirella’s “lounge of dreams”, lie  fabulous creations by Fabergé, David Webb, Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany, Van Cleef  Arpels, Maboussin, Lalique, Bulgari and Mirella Denti.

You can’t cry on a diamond’s shoulderMirella says quoting Elizabeth Taylor — but they’re sure fun when the sun shines!”.  Diamonds and jewels, a splendid world made up essentially of light, colour and proportions, a world where one can breathe air that is “so chic and so  gorgeous” , that rewards sight and touch in such extraordinary ways.  “Jewellery has always been a great passion of mine, maybe even an addiction. As soon as a new piece comes into the shop, I absolutely have to put it on.  In the beginning, I used to buy, I would buy everywhere, until — she says laughing and referring to herself as a “thieving magpie” — my husband said to me:  “at this point I might as well buy you a jewellery shop — it’ll cost me less”.  From this particular “sense of thriftiness of an understanding spouse” a simple passion for precious creations was able to transform into a thriving business.

Mirella Denti’s antiques gallery — located in Via Manzoni 29 at the corner of Via Montenapoleone, near the Grand Hotel et de Milan and the Armani Hotel Milano— specializes in jewellery, anything from nineteenth century period pieces in liberty or decò styles to pieces from the sixties. Mirella Denti’s space can be better defined as a “lounge of dreams” rather than a simple boutique, a meeting place for Milanese Bourgeois and international clientele alike, also including some crowned heads.  In this liberty frame, with walls covered in parchment paper and spherical brass detail stitching, there is an understanding of exactly what it means for Mirella Denti to “offer the uniqueness of both modern and antique through exclusive pieces taken from the past (from 19th Century, from the first liberty, from the forties and fifties) and other current pieces designed by myself that are just as exclusive”.
A transversal mix of creative expressions that live harmoniously thanks to the artistic authenticity of the history they portray.  In one word luxury, which like Coco Chanel said, “is the necessity that begins where necessity ends”.

Behind the shiny, capitivating windows of the jewellery shop, there is a warm, inviting environment that surrounds the magnificent creations, ranging from Fabergé, David Webb, Cartier, Bulgari, Tiffany, Van Cleef &Arpels, Maboussin and Lalique all the way to the prestigious antique Indian jewellery, parures from the 19th Century and uniquely original plexiglass clutches from the fifties.  Mirella Denti pairs the creations of these prestigious houses with unique pieces of jewellery, fruit of her multifaceted creativity.  Her idea of creativity starts with promoting the true value and originality of a stone, diamond or pearl, in order to create jewellery that expresses love of design and the most sophisticated jewellery manufacturing.  “I personally design the jewellery Mirella Denti says — I take inspiration from the decò and liberty periods, however I interpret them with modern twists and never make carbon copies of the antiques; a re-elaboration in a contemporary mind set with the same tastefulness and refinement of the antique pieces.  As for the manufacturing, she specifies, I trust the collaboration of artisan laboratories of longstanding tradition”.

CULTURE OF THE SERVICE.  Antique jewels possess an attraction that is impossible to resist even today, but buyers must also have the right to the  professional help of a seller that is able to guarantee authenticity and place of origin.  “Alongside Cartier, Van Cleff, Tiffany, Boucheron and Fabergé, David Webb is one of the biggest international names in jewellery”, explains Mirella Denti while facing the hot topic of counterfeiting.   “Among the last centuries American designers, David Webb was without a doubt the most famous and prolific, and most likely, beyond compare so much so that he has been defined as “the Cellini of modern times” by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.  Many counterfeits by David Webb, whom I love, are circulating and it’s important to be careful.  An even more sensitive issue, in this sense, is the situation regarding the new Fabergé products, like the brand new “Les Fameux de Fabergé” and “Le Favorites de Fabergé” collections.  As for the creations by Maison Fabergé, of which I am an official retailer in Milan, I only trust the official registers of the House that certify all of the jewellery’s identifiable elements and the manufacturing dates.  The difference between the fake memories and the real ones — a  smiling Mirella Denti whispers, remembering Salvador Dalì’s saying — is the same for jewellery:  the fake ones always seem to be  the most real, the brightest”....
